Pokemon Water Blue is a fan-made FireRed remaster by gameboy_cl. It revisits Kanto with redesigned environments, follower Pokemon, new events and refreshed presentation. The Spanish and Portuguese project name is Pokemon Azul Agua.

The current beta

Is Pokemon Water Blue complete?

It is still in development. The current release is Beta 1.4 ML, with playable content from Pallet Town through Cerulean City.

How much can I play right now?

The current beta runs from Pallet Town through Cerulean City, with around three hours of content. Your playtime will vary with exploration and battles.

Does Beta 1.4 ML add more story content?

Beta 1.4 ML primarily contains translation fixes. Its story progression remains Pallet Town through Cerulean City.

Can I play on a phone or a computer?

Use a GBA emulator for your device. mGBA is our desktop starting point; the Emulators page also covers Android and iPhone/iPad options, with links to their project sites and app stores.

How do I open the game?

Download the game file, then use your GBA emulator’s Open, Import or Add Game command to select the .gba file. On phones, keep it in a folder you can find in the Files app or file picker.

Which languages are included?

Beta 1.4 ML includes English, Spanish and Portuguese in one ROM. Choose a language on the opening language-selection screen.

Do I need a different download for each language?

No. English, Spanish and Portuguese are included in the same multilingual build.
